Judith Mercure, Director and CEO of Calibre Communications
Judith Mercure, Director of Calibre Communications and Consulting, is an experienced market analyst, marketing strategist, corporate communicator, project manager, trainer, and a popular innovation workshop facilitator.
Judith has developed successful and well-received integrated corporate identity, strategic marketing, and new market development campaigns for clients in Australia, the USA, and Europe. She has worked extensively with scientists, engineers, policy makers, technical and business managers to provide high-impact marketing programs and projects for knowledge organizations, ranging from R&D organizations and universities to technology-based start-up companies.
Judith has won a number of awards, including the Australian Marketing Institute's Award for Excellence in the export category, and she has played a lead role in two teams winning CSIRO Awards for Business Excellence. She is a member of the editorial board of the international journal, Innovation: Management, Policy and Practice.
For the past ten years, Judith has offered training clinics and master classes for US, European, and Australian associations of innovation management, research, business incubation, and technology transfer professionals.
Judith has a Master's degree in science and technology marketing (Macquarie University GSM), as well as a Master's degree in the history and philosophy of science (UNSW). She has published widely and spoken at many international conferences and workshops.

David
Muller has been in private practice for over
20 years. He was a Senior Manager in KPMG Corporate Finance prior
to becoming
a Director of his own consulting businesses since 1995 including
BDO Consulting (SA) Pty Ltd. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered
Accountants and a Member of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
David has worked with a broad range of industries including: manufacturing, information technology, food, primary production, Indigenous Communities, water, tourism, services and the arts.
David offers the following specialist services:

Brett Cornwell is a Faculty member at IC2 Institute at the University
of Texas at Austin and is an instructor for three classes in the Master
of Science in Science and Technolo9gy Commercialization Program. His
courses focus on technology screening and evaluation, venture planning
and evaluation. He has led a number of international technology commercialization
benchmarking and training projects in the USA and Europe. Brett was
a program coordinators for the NASA Mid-Continent Technology Transfer
Center for ten years as served as the Deputy Director for three.

A mentor, consultant and respected business professional for knowledge
and technology based enterprises, Stephan Wellink provides business
advice covering areas such as strategic and business planning, intellectual
property management, technology transfer and corporate governance.
He has held senior positions in the public and private sector including:
- Research scientist with Unilever Australia;
- Director of Anvil Chemicals Pty Ltd, a scientific services business;
- General Manager of Bioglan, a health care / pharmaceutical company that was listed on the ASX in 1986 as part of Auspharm Pty Ltd;

- Principal Commercial Adviser, Agribusiness at CSIRO Australia;

(September 2001 – January 2006); - He was a foundation Director of AusBiotech Ltd (2001 – 2005), a Director of AIMedics (2001 - 2005), a medical device company focusing on Type 1 diabetes.

Geoffrey Smithers is an experienced research scientist and scientific entrepreneur. He has worked both at the bench but also at the science-business interface linking business outcomes with relevant science and technology tools. Geoffrey can 'speak' both science and business language, and can facilitate strategic and innovation planning and implementation for an on-time/on-budget/on-expectation outcome.
During a distinguished career with CSIRO and Food Science Australia, most recently as Director of International Business, Geoffrey successfully built client relationships in critical capability areas for the food industry in Australasian, European and North American markets. He has worked with several global corporations, including companies such as PepsiCo, Kraft, Solae, Wyeth, General Mills, Fonterra, Murray Goulburn, Land O'Lakes and Valio.
Geoffrey has successfully developed and managed large multi-disciplinary and cross-organizational R&D and commercialization programs, and attracted substantial funding from both Commonwealth, State and commercial sources to support these programs. He has a successful track record in conducting R&D that has been commercialized, including the development and management of several multi-million dollar programs that have led to high quality science and business outcomes. Geoffrey, together with the teams he has led, has been the recipient of several awards including the Sir Ian McLennan Achievement for Industry Prize in 2006 that recognized achievements in translating dairy science and technology into the marketplace, and resultant national economic impact.
Geoffrey has a B.App.Sc. (Hons I) from the University of Technology-Sydney and a PhD in biochemistry from the University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia). He also has post-doctoral experience at the University of Pennsylvania and at the University of Wisconsin, USA. He has published widely, and has presented at many international conferences, industry meetings and workshops.

Jane Murray founded the consulting company, insight2market (www.insight2market.com) in 2008. She has wide-ranging expertise in consumer choice, consumer and sensory research, FMCG, food, beverage & flavour innovation. Insight2market now works with clients in Europe and the Asia Pacific region who include some of the world's largest food, consumer goods, ingredients and flavours companies.
Previously, Jane was Head of Consumer Understanding at Givaudan; Sensory and Consumer Research Manager at Quest (APAC) Flavours; and Sensory & Consumer Research Manager at CSIRO Consumer Science Program (Sydney) and The Grampian Country Food Group (UK).
She has a BSc (distinction) in Food and Consumer Science, an MSc (Human Nutrition and Metabolism) at University in Aberdeen, Scotland and a PhD in Consumer and Sensory Research from the National University of Ireland.
Jane has published numerous peer-reviewed research papers in journals such as Food Quality and Preference, the British Food Journal and the Journal of Sensory Studies. She is also a guest lecturer in Food Choice at the University of New South.

Peter Peine is Director for International Sales
of Calibre Communication’s
publications, job tools and training courses. He has been a senior
sales and marketing executive for a range of industries in the EU
and Australasia. With an outstanding track record in account and
relationship management for knowledge- and service-based organizations,
his clients have included IBM Europe, Vulcan/Chef Australasia, and
Accoustica Systems. Peter also has extensive experience in coaching
programs to ensure the successful implementation by staff of turnkey
technology solutions.
